agreed. my biggest issue with it is that it seems to me like the foreign automakers are the ones making all the money off of it. yeah, that'll help out the big 3!

oh dont get me wrong, i agree with you completely, seems like this program is spending more money on a lost cause. So we are gonna pay you for your car, and then throw it away...make any sense?

Makes no sense... and I'm not bashing the government saying that they failed... they did EXACTLY what they set out to do... they are replacing low-efficient vehicles with relatively more-efficient vehicles... they were successful in doing what they wanted to do... I'm just saying that what they set out to do doesn't make any sense at all... it's just dumb...
Did anyone notice that the disclaimer that I linked to above has been removed? I wonder if they actually changed the practice or if they just stopped letting us know about it... lol... I only laugh to keep from crying
