    Mod fever that is...

I started my head gasket project so I could have my DD back and it has turned into a money pit. I was on this forum with my block disassembled and saw an ad for a cam and was like...hmmmm, seems easy enough. Well, since then I have got pacesetter headers and some few other parts for the build. I have more stuff I have to buy and can already see my "fever" getting worse.

First time I have ever bought anything that would enhance my cars performance. I can't wait to finally get it running and see the difference.

Not complaining, just felt like saying it, lol.

Seeing as I'm talking performance, does anyone have any pictures of a 3.4 K&N intake on a 97 3.8? Wondering if I could use my old one instead of buying a kit from SLP and spending more money, lol.

Thats why you need two-three bank accounts...one for saving, one for the car, and one for entertainment purposes...then divy up you paycheck in a percent type manner...hell its how I do it...otherwise I would never be able to save money for other stuff...

Yeah I have a checking and savings account. Not much seems to make it into the savings account. I'm horrible. And a gf doesn't make it any easier.

x2 on the gf... although if I didn't have a gf, I'd probably just spend more on the car... oh well

When I get close to finishing I'm going to send my PCM to INTENSE Racing and have them tune it to what I have. I'll probably give them a call so I don't mess up choosing the wrong tuning or something.

I don't know how you guys work on these cars. Its so hard. All my fingers are busted up and I can barely get any work done in a day. I spend most of the time trying to get one or two bolts off then i gotta pack up and get ready for bed, haha. Wow I suck.

That's how my first build went, but everything I learned from that one has saved some of my knuckles on this one...

take a pair of dykes and snip the points off of all the clips holding the cowl down...that will save some scratches, they to me hurt the worst.
