I think most automatics came with 2.73s. WS6 cars and non-ram air cars with the "performance package" option came with 3.23s. The highway gas mileage was certainly improved (mine got 27.5 highway mpg when it was stock) but no better than a stock 6 speed car with 3.42s.

This is why I should go to car meets and learn about other cars. Because so far, I don't know jack about anything else other than this 3.8l from 98-02. But I know it decently well.

im not sure if thats a dis...so im gonna go ahead and go on the defensive...lol.

Tell them you will disconnect the line that goes to the wastegate from the compressor housing, so the turbo "wont work" lol!!!

i did that on my bug once...it was insane!! the turbo usually boosted about 8 with a spike up to 10 psi, i swear when i did that i had to be boosting 18-20, i didnt have a gauge, but it was fun.

Yeah that's what this fun little regulator I have is for. I hope it works. We'll see soon since I finally ordered a new wideband sensor. I didn't want to up the boost till the tune was back in shape.

So... 18-20psi. Lift any heads? Besides your own.

i had liftoff, thats for sure. it was like a moment when time didnt exist, and car and driver were molded together...it was pure extasy...

i only did it for one good pull, then hooked it back up. i was running 7.something:1 compression, i had semi-hemi cut heads and spacers to lower compression, thats the only reason i did it.
