    Hey Everybody,

I have some tech and aftermarket questions on my V6 Camaro so I thought I’d join the forums. I am an original owner of a 2001 Chevy Camaro V6. I bought the car new in August 2001. Except for different non-OEM tires, the car has been bone stock since I’ve owned her. I love my car and recently hit the big 100,000 mile mark. Currently my Camaro is close to 103,000 miles. My Camaro is Bright Rallye Red with Ebony cloth interior. I have the automatic 4 speed transmission. Options are T-tops (a must!), 6 way power driver’s seat, ASR (fancy Ferrari name for traction control), Monsoon 8 speaker sound system with CD player, Z28 16” rims and tires.

My younger brother, CamaroBoy, told me about the forum. He has a black 2002 35th Anniversary V6 Camaro (also original owner) with many, many mods. I think he found out about the site from forum member Kristen.

I was laid off in early 2008 and unemployed for a little over a year. Since I had no job, I barely drove the car and put very low miles on her. Now I have a new IT job again and the maintenance bills are adding up (driving the car a lot more than last year). I love my Camaro and look to keep her. The car has been good as my daily drive since 2001. I live in the Philly area. Need anything more, just ask.

I paid $1 for my silver 02 as well. So says the title. But it was a gift from my parents. I've been paying it off for awhile now.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I should hopefully get some pictures up soon. Maybe this weekend.

Flaming Chicken: Mod or stock has been a big question since I’ve owned her. I think the main reason I left it stock is because I was cheap and didn’t want to drop a lot of money into the car. The other way I looked at it I was saving up for a new car (a second car because I don’t plan on selling my Camaro). With my new job, I’ve been tossing the idea of buying a new Camaro or Corvette. I’ve been checking out Ebay and SLP’s website over the last 8 years I had the car looking at Mods. But the other thing is I don’t know any good (or trust) shops in my area to work on my car. I still have my original sticker. I would have to dig it up. But I got a really good deal at a local dealer.

Hockeyman: My brother has taken is Camaro to the Franklin Mills meet many times. I always thought it was more in the evening than in the morning for that show/meet. I go to the Hooters show almost every time. I live so close to there. The last show they had was really big. My Dad and I were there for close to two hours looking at cars. I saw a bunch of Camaros there. I’ve never heard of the NE Philly meet on Linden. Thanks!
