  • District 9

I saw this this weekend. It's ok I was expecting something more from this movie. The plot is predictable and there are some parts to it that doesn't add up.

But the FX is excellent and Peter Jackson the guy who did Lord of the Ring and King Kong did an excellent job on that. BUT...his directing on this one is kinda weak.

I don't know, some of you guys or the majority of you might like this.

    I give it 2 1/2 stars out of 5.

I haven't seen any previews for it, so I'll make sure it goes to the bottom of the list. But we do netflix anyways ,saves us alot of money in going to the movies.

my buddies went and saw it and told me it was a chin scratcher....not really sure what to think of it.

kinda like Thor said, not what they were expecting.

Peter Jackson did not direct. Neill Blomkamp directed this movie.

That's a good idea. It cost me $22 bucks for my wife and I to see this movie. I feel that it's not worth $22 to go there and see it. But since I'm a Sci-Fi I'll probably buy this movie anyway once it gets to be $5 at Walmart.

I thought it was pretty good. Very original. The last 45 minutes were pretty intense.

                    4 out of 5 stars.

don't they rate movies on a 4 star scale?

I'd give it 3 and a half on 4...I really enjoyed it. I thought it was well acted, it was pretty intense, and it definitely gets full marks in terms of originality (at least the beginning...it turns into more of a hollywood type movie towards the end).

I love the South African accent/dialect.

I wish we could get a cool looking small pickup truck like the one's the MNU drive here in North America...

I don't think I would be into District 9.....I'll wait till it comes on HBO or something.

I went and saw GI Joe yesterday, it was okay, nothing to spectacular. FX were nice.

Went and saw Funny People a few days ago. That just flat out sucked. I was really excited, and it just sucked. Wayyyy to long, and not funny in most parts.
