I was caught in a heavy traffic in the FWY and we were going anywhere from 0-15 mph at a 102-105* weather.
My old pick up kept stalling on me, but it would start up the minute traffic starts moving again, so I wasn't holding anybody behind. I know that it was my alternator that was going.
I stayed on the 1st lane at all times. I was hoping to get to the nearest exit so I can go the nearest station and fix my truck. Well the nearest exit was a couple more miles away and I was praying that my truck would make it.
Sure enough my truck stalled again at a dead stop and it won't crank anymore. I was less than a mile away from the nearest exit. I got out of my truck and started waving at the drivers to let them know that my truck stalled and I'll be pushing it to the side.
These jerk off drivers started honking their horns at me, gave me the finger, and started cussing me out. I don't if it was the hot weather or the heavy traffic, but that was totally un-called for. I was ticked off at their behavior.
I walked to the exit and called my wife at Carl's Jr. and told her to pick up an alternator for me and to meet me at Carl's Jr. Got the alternator, walked back to my truck and it only took me less than 10 mins. to install it. I was worried that I might have drained out the battery, but thank God the truck started up right away and I was able to go home.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I was pissed off at those people who weren't sympathetic. I've always been helpful to other people who I don't know. I would get out of my car and help people push their cars to side, I also took them to the gas station and back because they ran out of gas, or even give them a jump if they need it. I even took home an elderly man once because he was carrying grocery bags that looked too heavy for him. It's my Christian calling to help out those in need if I can, but I was really disappointed at them.
I don't know, I guess most people nowadays are always pissed off.
