Let me introduce myself, I am Mark, (aka Mark42) and I am so excited about finding this message board!!!
This past weekend I bought a 1998 Firebird coupe w/ 27800 miles. Red with grey cloth interior, the car looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I could not pass it up.
Back in 1995, I ordered a new '96 v6 Camaro with handling package, T tops, LSD, 5 speed, bright red with tan leather . Loved that car, and ran it to about 130K miles before selling. Now I find myself looking for an economy car, but after looking at used Honda and Toyota cars, I realized that they are not what I wanted to spend 2 hours a day commuting in. So knowing how much fun the old Camaro was, I started searching for good values in used Camaro and Firebirds. That's how I found the 98 Firebird.
I found the Firebird about 60 miles from my house in PA, and the dealer will be flatbedding it to me TOMORROW!!! Woo Hoo!
Haven't had time to take my own pics so these are from the dealers ad:

I can't wait for delivery tomorrow. My wife and kids are just as excited as I am. Although I have to admit my wife would have preferred a convertible Camaro I was looking at too.
I spent hours looking at all the Camaro/Firebird forums out on the net, and this one seems to be the best. Not only is it geared toward the V6 platform, but the wealth of information far exceeds most other forums.
Looking forward to participating here.
Regards,
Mark
