Any tats?

Buddy of mine has been pushing me to get a tattoo; I've been tossing the idea around for some time. Nothing big, just a tribal band or something similar. Anyone here have any? If so, any pics?

NOOOOOOOO!! dont do a tribal...its so generic. do something that has meaning for you first tattoo, then go for gay stuff.

i've wanted to get one for years but i want something completely unique and meaningful ... i've never decided on what to get

I don't like tattoos myself, but I especially don't like the ones that people have and you ask them why they got it and all they come up with is "I thought it looked cool" but to each his own, if you're gonna get one, get one that has some meaning or story behind it... tattoos can make good conversation starters if they have a good story to tell...

the only reason to get a tattoo is because you want one...not because your kool friend wants you too.


get something that means something to you. draw it yourself, so you know what you want

He's just pushing me to finally get it; i've wanted one for some time now. Main thing I was looking for here was some ideas. I'm thinking of getting a henna first to see if I like it, then get the real deal after.

lol yeah. . i got my first one it was small celtic cross on the top of my arm with some light tribal design, i wanted it forever. well it come time i decided the rest of my arm looked blank. so i went back and thought about what i wanted to do, i ended up in 3 different color highlighter markers from mid arm all the way to chest. final result ended up bein great i love my tats and won't ever regret them at all, it covers from mid arm, up to my shoulder, back down my shoulder wraps up goes down my collar bone, and wraps my left pec. Its always a conversation starter cause for one my shirts cover it all and i'm a clean cut person nobody expects me to have tats, especially so large.

YES!!! - If you get inked, it HAS to MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU!!!!! Tats with out meaning are worthless. They are there for a reason, not just to look or be cool.

There's always a reason to get a tattoo. If your reason is "it looks cool" then that is a reason. I understand most people want some sort of story or meaning but, not everyone has some awesome story, and not every awesome story or meaningful event can be put into a tattoo. Just get whatever you want.

I do not have any meaningful story just I like them. I do agree only get one if you want it and spend time find a artist you like.

They just slowly grew hahaha Tribal on my lower back across my shoulder, colar piece, 3/4 sleeve and one on my left calf. Then I have a large dragon that takes up the center of my back, and stretches down on my left thigh. Working on dragon that takes up most of my right leg at the moment.
