I'm looking into adding a CTS to the stable. Something more comfortable and "grown up" is needed. Love my Jeep, but it's not grown up. Right now it's either CTS or Grand Cherokee.
I've been looking at the CTS forums and not really impressed by how many problems guys are having with 04-07 models. Prove me other wise and sell me on the CTS. If you can't, I guess Jeep will be the choice.
Cheers..

Wait, Is that a V6 or V8? 1990 Chevrolet C-K 1500 series 4.3L .. 5spd
1994 JDM Euno Roadster 1.8L 5spd Bolt Ons.. etc 2000 Camaro 3.8L Auto Bolt Ons..etc
I LOVED my 06 caddy, style, luxury, and average 34mpg @70 too. My 08 cts 4 is getting around 27-30, but then it is bigger, and heavier. 1gen 3.6 imho, is a bit quicker than the 3.6DI + weight.
Problems w/the 06? the winshield washer motor kept spraying when using the wipers. that started happening about a week before it died, w/148k on the odometer.

I'm a Jeep owner now. Have been for years. I can wrench on my Jeeps because they are not completely filled with gizmo's and bs to break. But my basic shoebox is not the luxury truck. A Grand Cherokee would be a great step up, which I would add things like leather, factory moon roof, heated seats, etc.
A caddy would be nice. The CTS would fit the grown up need. Leather, moon roof, seats, etc. Only I don't have experience with caddy's and it's not 4x4, but I can fore go the 4x4 for nice. But I want something that will not die. My shoebox is a 2k Cherokee with 178K miles, same motor and trans. No major issues as long as you don't call a windshield crack, rip in the driver seat and a little surface rust now an issue! :)
What issues happen with what years/models CTS? I keep seeing trans issues, motor issues on the forums... is that from idiots racing the CTS or normal driving???

i've drive a few with the 2.8, 3.6, and 3.6 di. its a great car and it will hopefully be my next. i love everything about them. good v6 engine, great transmissions, and irs. the car rides a bit stiff for a caddy but handles great. interior is super nice.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
