They make turbo kits for the stock engine.
They also make drop in k members that fit GSXr and hyabusa engines - then you can turbo or juice those set ups.
I've seen video's of them going 11's with a simple bike engine swap :)
I'll add some engine pic's this weekend - gotta lift up the floor in the trunk.

Transmission is an automated manual transmission - basically a manual transmission without a clutch pedal. If you let off a bit when it shifts then it is nice and smooth.
And, mercedes is extremely durable and does mean quality. I've had 9 of them. Seeing over 1 million miles has been done by several MB's - 200,000 miles and it is still breaking in.
