Congradulations! I've driven a GTX before and those are pretty much the same as GTP's, and I really like those cars. What are the differences between the 500 and the regular GTP.

            Update to my post:
I love the Regal so much I am considering purchasing a black '98 GTP Coupe as my personal steed. Let's see if things work out. :D

L32Projekt~ how does your exhaust sound with the resonator deleted. I can't decide wether i want to get rid of it because it may get too loud and raspy. I have a Ubend delete coming, am installing a 3.4" pulley tommorrow and am looking to get some dynomax mufflers out back. Let me know if that setup would sound ok. Thanks a ton.

                Here's a link:

I bounced the rev limiter in park, at around 3500 RPM. Remeber this is off a single outlet exhaust, not duals. I personally like the sound.

Sidenote: Looked at the black GTP today, that isn't going to happen. Going to look at another GTP coupe in white this morning when the dealership opens. Here's a pic:

nice car. What's all wrong with it. My DIC is dimming on one side and the HUD is sometimes dim. It is getting fixed tommorrow. I love white Prix's. Anyway, congrats on the purchase.

DIC and headunit display is out (sounds like a somewhat common problem) and the pass rear brake squeaks. Supercharger coupler needs to be replaced. Body has a couple small dings that can be fixed by PDR (but are hardly noticeable otherwise). Oil leak at the front valve cover gasket. Uhm, that's it. :D Here's a random glamour shot:

My rear calipers stick as well ;)
valve cover leaks are also very common I replaced mine wasn't that bad a task.
get the ZZP coupler and 8oz of supercharger oil, also not a very bad task to replace the coupler, Just make sure you get all the bolts before trying to pry the snout off. (Personal Experience/Mistake)

GTP'S are great. I love them. I am in a Grand Am/Grand Prix club here in Ontario (I used to have an Alero). Two of the GTP's in our club are in the 12's and some in the Quebec/Ontario Grand Prix Club are in the 11's with Turbo 3.8L.

They make awesome sleepers when you keep the exterior looking close to stock.

Yup, researching all those issues as we speak on ClubGP. Got the P/N for the Valve cover gaskets and instructions, including how to replace the bulbs in the DIC and HU. Looks like for everything would be one long day, but not a whole weekend. Thank God! Brakes would have to wait a while (they're not a danger, just an annoyance.) Speaking of sticking rear brake calipers, you got any tips? Thanks for the words of encouragement!

I was just gonna go get the links to the ways to fix the stuff. I fixed my HUD today. If you take it apart just pull the curcuit board and flip it over. Then where the Sunlight sensore is on the HUD unit find the two bigger prongs that stick up on the underside of the sensor. I took a small peice of wire and soldered it in place. Should work good. Then the DIC has 3 bulbs that are used as a backlighting. I just took it apart tonight and am going to Advanced Auto to get some new ones. I think i'll just buy 6-9 of them so i won't have to go back for a LOOOONNNNGGGG time to get them. It's really easy to get the HUD apart if you haven't done it already. These cars are much easier to tear apart then my TBird was. Like i said before, beautiful choice in color and hope you get her runnin' good again. As for the coupler, i think my car has had that done. The snout lookes a different shade of Powder coat and it has a yellow and white paint dot on it that i've never seen on any of the GTP's or GS regals or any other supercharged GM car for that matter. Hmm i don't know. I SHOULD be getting my 3.4" Pulley put on REALLY soon.
