Re: WHO'S ready for riding season???

I'm taking the basic riders training course in July and after that I'll be looking for a bike. My two top choices right now are a used cbr 600F4i or yzf 600r, but I probably won't buy until the end of the season or winter so that may change.

Bring it buddy. Hopefully you're running in the tens.

It's riding season all year long here, even if it wasn't all I got is a bike. Truth be told though I love riding in the rain. I just hate wearing my goofy looking suzuki textile jacket on my honda when its raining.

I finally got around to putting the Galfer rotors on. Also washed up the bike, cleaned the chain and put on factory rear turn signals with clear covers.

You're telling me you haven't been out riding yet?!? Cmon buddy! It's been pretty decent latley, and Im assuming even better weather in your direction!

Ok ok ok, I haven't even taken my bike out of storage yet. :p

And not to come off like a dumbass, but your sticker, are those ones who didn't make it thru Deal's Gap, considering theirs a pic of a dragon above the names?

Oh - P.S. Reason I haven't been out riding yet, is cause I just ordered new tires, front and back, Pirelli Diablo's, and also finally ordered a Cobra fuel processor for my high mount blue flame. My sis works at a custom bike shop and I get everything just about cost ;). Can't wait to throw it on and get out.

Re: WHO'S ready for riding season???

It just got nice enough and I finally found the time. I'm hoping for more time later in the week... but having a day job does hinder that some.

Those names are family or friends that have passed from one thing or another. All of them were riders.

And my tires are Z6 Metz... still barely scuffed them :p

I'm mucho jealous of the pirellis, all I can afford are the good ol dunlop d208s. All the expensive rubber ends up on my dirtbike.

That's what came stock on my bike, those 208's. I dunno, they are decent, good wear too, but I don't feel safe on these when the bikes layed right down. I can't explain it. They feel a bit jittery almost. Im talking right to the edge because they feel fine on a hard corner. So either way I figured id slap on a new set of rubbers and see how they feel. Just from the touch you can feel how the dunlops feel more plasticy then the Diablos.

And yea, them knobbies wear out pretty fast on them dirtbikes... especially when you have to race down some city streets to hit the trails, haha. I've run them to near bald a few times 'cause of $$$.

I said most.. key word there. I have a sport/tour bike. It's quick for me.. but not for a Supra. Now the R1 Raven my friend has.... That's a new story :D

Re: WHO'S ready for riding season???

My tires and Cobra are in! :) Now I just have to wait for the owner of the shop to go home for the day, bring my bike up, drop in some fresh oil, new rubbers, adjust the fuel processor, and im ready to see what this thing can do.

I've got high hopes on this Cobra. My buddy installed a Power Commander on his R1 with loaded maps set up for his Yoshi's and it was either defective, or wasn't worth it. My other buddy dropped one of these Cobra's in his 1000RR, and gave the Cobra company a call. A representative or tech guy told him exactly how to adjust it and now, with just a flick of the throttle, that sucker pins. It's ridiculous. :) Can't wait because the tune is all frigged up with the high mount.
