Re: Bikers - Lets see some pics of...

Those would be scratches from the PREVIOUS owner (a member here) that failed to tell me he stunted the bike. He tried a stoppie and rolled it over and slid. How do I know.... I've see all the damn I've had to replace!! Trust me... I am NOT happy with that kid.. but I've learned a lot with this being my first sport bike and can now with confidence find another one and KNOW what is wrong with it.

If I go this season without incident, new plastics will be ordered up and reshot in Yammie Blue :D

I wouldn't be too concerned. At first I thought they were reflections, but I wouldn't say they are THAT noticeable. But when you do pick up the new plastics, you think you'll buy a factory sticker kit, or go for your own creative mock up? Now that I look, those side plastics are either a new paint job or new themselves aren't they? Did you ban that kid? Haha.

Nope.. not new paint, must rubbing compound and some touch up Yam Blue. Would I do factory decals.. No. I like my own touch. If I go custom.. it's going to be custom ;)

No.. he pretty much stopped showing up around here....

One of these weekends maybe I can take a break from my car long enough to clean 6 months of winter dust off her and actually go for a ride.

NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EVER WILL YOU OR ANYONE ELSE ON THIS BOARD PUT FIBERGLASS FENDERS ON YOUR BIKES!!! Total waste of money and time. Fiberglass is total crap. The dealers treat you like crap, have a terrible return policy, and they are totally worthless. The stuff feels like paper, warps within 72 hours, looks like sh!t, and the makeshift mounts like to crack and send your fender flapping open while going 80 on the freeway, causing it to drag under your bike making you think two things. 1. Hopefully I am lucky enough to get to the side of the road before getting hit by another driver and before this catches under my tire sending me sliding to my death. 2.(And more importantly) Well f*ck, there goes $900 and many labor hours right down the drain. Not even if it's free will this stuff touch your bike. Spread the word please.
There is fast, too fast, and way too fast. Way too fast is almost fast enough.

Good thinkin ;). Where's your plate??? Those bikes look like a b*tch to keep clean, haha.

Teal, I was saying it looks like new paint or new plastics where you put the dragon and name decals. I only say that because where's the original decals? Don't think im picking on your bike man, im just saying maybe your old buddy is hiding more secrets and smashed up the sides too and ordered new ones...

CoreyCamaro, No fiberglass parts... Got ya. Most fiberglass parts for your car are a POS too.

Re: Bikers - Lets see some pics of...

Corey, my stock panels are fiberglass, and my bike's a '95 so they've held up for more than 10 years with no problems. You might be talking about certain manufacturers cheap aftermarket panels, but just because it's fiberglass doesn't mean it's crap. There's also certain brands of carbon fiber that are junk, doesn't mean all carbon fiber is. I think Airtech stuff is supposed to be good. There's probably others. IMO fiberglass is better than plastic because it typically bends a little more before breaking, and it's also repairable. I hit a deer on my bike and I repaired the panels myself, you wouldn't know by looking at it. Plastic would have cracked into little pieces and there's no way to glue it back together that would hold.

Jus, my plate is tucked under the seat. You can just barely see the lower right corner of it shining bright white in that pic, above the rear fender. It's easily viewable when looking straight at the rear.

Teal, anytime you want to come by and clean it you're welcome to ride it. I'll even fill up the tank for you. :p

Damn SilverRS. What'd ya'll do? Copy each other like Teal's group??? Haha. We constantly throw jabs in our group how our choice of manufacturer is better than the other, all for sh*ts and giggles :D.

Nice bike Josh. I like the paint job. A paint place showed me how they did designs like that a while back. Kinda cool how they just lay the paint on, then pretty much throw some cellaphane on it and tear it off for the effect. Wanted to try that on my truck a while back but never settled on a design I wanted and ended up selling the truck anyways :p.
