Lol yeah, I know. There are also turbo 4's in the single digits. I was simply comparing our cars to theirs, not all cars in general. :)

then remove the light neon frame and add about 1800 lbs of the f-body 4-star safety rated frame, just for comparison reasons, to the turbo-4 neon.

Re: SRT-4 Car Domain is up.. Finally

when i bought this car i knew it would only run up to around 40-80k (turbocharged.. what do you expect????) depending on how much i beat on it and what kind of work i get done to it.. but I've driven this car over 4k miles(only at 17,500 miles now) since i've owned it.. about 3000 @ 6 PSI and the rest @ 17 PSI and my car has no problems.. by the time my car is ready for a new turbo I plan on having a stage 3 turbo in it anyways so there will be nothing major to rebuild.. only thing i have to plan on rebuilding will be the motor and possibly the tranny around 60-80k miles.. the motors on SRT-4s are built to handle much more horsepower then what is being put into them straight from the factory.. members of the dodge forums are dynoing over 370 horsepower on a stock motor with staged ECUs and turbos w/ toys

as for looks.. i like the way it looks and having the intercooler in the front is something i enjoy looking at every day.. the wing isn't ricey to me.. it was done tastefully in my opinion and if you want to bash on neons go ahead..
i've heard all the rice jokes from my brother who drives an 04 mach 1.. it doesn't bother me because my "rice" pulled 2 full car lengths on his mach 1 from 60-135.. that was good enough for me.. he hasn't cracked any kind of rice jokes since then

anyways this is getting off topic.. i didn't post it up here to get bashed or anything i just wanted to show everyone my car.. i finally had the chance to get pictures and awhile ago when i posted that i bought it a couple members asked me for some engine shots.. so if you want to see them their there to check out.. if not just ignore this post.. i have better things to do with my time then argue about the rice/domestic crap

Never knew the f-body really had a frame being It NEVER HAS! They are all unibody even 1st gens.... Sorry... And the weight differnce is not even close to 1800lbs... But ohh well either way.. And the F-body being safe, I dunno so much about that either, get t-boned in the door someday and watch where your door lands *on the other side of the car*.... F-bodies have never and will probably never be known for being safe. They are lightweight, very quick, fast, and spunky cars, which is why it is so much cheaper than a Corvette.

Nothing against f-bodies I love em to death and will probably never not own one. But be a little more realistic here...

If you really want to compete in cars take a Stock Z-28 or even slightly modded and put it up against the 6cyl Audi S4 or the 6cyl BMW M3 can you say OWNED! Cylinders arn't everything anymore, displacement and well built are the best lines ever made, and Europe owns it all when it comes down to it. My Camaro's and Firebirds are probably the only American cars I will ever own in my life except a 3/4 ton and above truck, and for damn good reason. All others will be European cars, safer, faster, longer lasting, and all over better built.

The f-body doesn't have bad crash test ratings, althought I'm sure they aren't as good as the new europeans with side airbags. They aren't what I would consider lightweight either at 3300+ lbs.

The main thing here is you are putting a mid to high $20k car up against a $40-50k car. The M3 and S4 aren't in the same class as a f-body. Audis, Mercedes, and Jags are also all notorious for having a ton of problems.
