When my wife and I were having lunch today a black, shinny V6 Eclipse passed us by. My wife said "that's a nice looking car." I said, "yeah."
She asked me what it is and I said it's an Eclipse. She was surprised, because her brother has the late '90's Eclipse.
So you traded the Cavalier Z24? Well have fun.

Thanks Ed! I sold the Z24 to a friend so it'll still be around. I was upset about getting rid of it, but I think I'm over it already. It had a couple of light fluid leaks that needed fixing and there was some kind of "clunking" in the front axle when making right hand turns. I had an axle put in, but the clunking was still there on occasion. Otherwise the car was in great shape. It has 123,000 miles though and although the motor would probably last a long time, other things were beginning to deteriorate. I had it 6 years.
As for the GT Eclipse's, the dealer had a black convertible with leather for $29,000 and a sunset pearl orange one with leather, sunroof, ect for like $28,000. They were brand new 07's in the showroom. (just to give you an idea on the price).2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

OK first off it doesnt make you a ricer if you buy a forign car...You have to act like the *****es they are...Their wings their body kits, and their attitude while driving. If I was to buy a mitsubishi it would be the Lancer Evo, At the 07 auto show I sat in one and it made a very comfortable ride with the racing seats and the short shifter. I just wish they would get rid of the 4 door and make it a coupe. And get rid of that gay wing...But its not the vehicles fault that they driver makes it a ricer...Comment

You have to remember that our V6 Camaro's are the base model. GM didnt try to hard to make our cars to preform. They made them so they are sporty but at the same time good on gas and insurance. Thats why we have the Z28 to out preform about anything on the road.Originally posted by ShirlComment

^Yep... but it does "feel" different to me. It's more modern with a totally different image to it. One of my students has an EVO and it's a sweet car. You can see the intercooler in the front grill opening. I understand the whole base model thing about the 3.8 (I have two of them), but it seems archaeic (and wasn't improved upon for the 6 1/2 years it was in the fbody). These Japanese motors are pulling more hp/tq out of the same size motor and still getting decent gas mileage. Yeah, GM didnt change really anything at all with the 4th gen Camaros. And as long as you stay away from the ricer flybys and keep the flasher for what they are really ment for...Your no ricer...I dont like the way the rear end looks...How much bumper does that car need? Congrats on the purchase! And atleast you still own an F-Body!Comment

^ I believe it's built in Illinois... a lot of "import" cars these days are built in the U.S.

ArcticRider is right, it's made in the US. With almost half of the parts being American. It wasn't a waste at all. In fact I'd say it's been the best car purchase I've made yet. The quality is FIRST RATE. I couldn't say that for the several other cars that I tested. As for looks, everyone I've talked to so far, LOVES it. Someone almost drove into me the other day looking at it and I've gotten several compliments and thumbs up already. The pics on autotrader don't do the car justice. It's absolutely beatiful. I'll get better pics soon! :banana:

I’m new. I actually don’t own a Camaro or firebird. I do have a 2000 Camaro 3.8 fly by throttle and 4l60e. This is installed in a 1980 Triumph TR7...3 weeks ago -
