No new mods. Just prepping for the season. Dropped some new plugs in, fresh oil and filter. Swapping those plugs was a total b*tch. Can't wait for a decent day so I can start my therapy again. I went with a K&N air filter considering it costs the same as the OEM filter. Figured that was a no brainer. Just waiting for it to come in and it will be ready to go. Oh, I pulled that Cobra processor out too, I think it started really screwing with the bike end of season last year.

You throw any new mods on?

JusFlyinBy so you need to start your therapy again? Good way to put it, but I call it stress relief. I am just waiting for the my base to open up to bikes so I can go ride.

Anyways I got the new undertail, made my new brackets for my license plate, LED tail/turn lights, new tank pad, tune up, replaced my frankenstein bolts with chrome hex bolts, and I am still waiting for my new triple tree to lower the front. Hopefully I will get it in within a new couple of weeks. Also bought a trailer for the bike.

End of last year, stock undertail.

Taking her apart. You can see how the old frankenstein bolts stuck out.

        After
        New undertail with the plate

        New chrome hex bolts

For real dude. Im so stressed out over work and women, I can't wait to get out there and forget it all. Your base closes for bikes?

Good choice on the integrated directionals.

What kind of tires do you run?

            So where are the pics?

JusFlyinBy yup the base is closed to all bikes 1 Oct throught 1 Apr due to 7/8 months or snow. Also we have to wait till all the snow is gone until they will open it... so usually its not until mid/ late April can we ride.

As far as tires go I still have my stock Bridgestone's that come on my her. Since my bike is parked so much from the snow, I only have 2700 miles on her and she is a '05. Ill get 3X's that when we get to Arizona is 2 months.

Your a H-D family? If your not dead set on it... I would go with something else. Redbird will vouch for it, but the Yammie yzf600r is a nice way to start. Get a season or 2 and then move up to something that costs more.

Ok.. back on topic. We have GREAT weather here all weekend!! 3 days... I filled up 3 times. :D No new mods... I've about done everything I can to mine short of SS brake lines, but Galfers rotors do the job. Been thinking of a new ride.. all my guys are getting new junk... R6's, 636's, R1's.... I guess I see my speed the same if I get there in 3 seconds or 2.5 seconds... don't need to spend another 5-10K for that .5 second. And I'm surely not trying to empress anyone... girls or otherwise.

I hear ya there. The group I ride with all have Liter bikes except for one other guy who is trading up this year. They continue to bug me to buy a Liter bike also but I don't really see the point. They can't outrun me through the turns so I don't care. But, that burst of power anywhere within the rpm band is addicting and is where the 600's lack big time in comparison to the big bikes.

Too bad Suzuki is the only jap manufacturer offering a 750 because I think that'd be a reasonable step, where 1000's feel a bit overkill.

My brother-in-law has an '02 GSXR 750 and I get on it and just dont feel anything. Its cool cuz I can turn on a dime but it seems like its lacking the power. I like having the power and torque from the lower RPM to get me moving. Either way they are so much fun are as long as everyone is safe and comes home in one peice it doesn't matter what you ride.
