My 2005 Focus, "Helios"

    My 2005 Focus, "Helios"

    I bought this car new in August 2005. Haven't left it alone since.

    Current modifications include:

    Marcy Motorsport cold air intake
    Focus Central 65mm throttlebody
    Cosworth race header
    MBRP stainless race exhaust
    SCT XCalibrator2 tuning by FocusSport
    Massive Speed System fuel rail adapter
    underhood fuel pressure gauge
    Zex wet nitrous system (55/65/75hp)
    Zex bottle warmer
    Zex LED nitrous purge
    Hawker Odyssey PC680 lightweight battery
    MSD 8969 digital rpm window switch
    full SVT suspension
    Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings
    short throw shifter
    Scroth Rallye 4 ASM harnessbelts
    RS style spoiler
    ST grille
    FocusSport fiberglass front lip kit
    EBC Red Stuff brake pads
    EBC brake rotors
    stainless brake lines
    Graphics done by Eric Strickland (Superior Sign Shop) - of crazy WRX fame..

    Stuff here and waiting to be installed:
    Spec lightweight flywheel
    Spec stage 1 clutch
    Torsen T2 ATB differential
    FocusSport oil cooler kit

    Modifications coming soon (as in, ordered but not yet here):

    Crane Stage I camshafts
    uprated valve springs
    titanium retainers
    ARP rod bolts

    This is how my car looks at the moment. These were taken at Spring Bash 16 in Lawton.







    Here it is with the trophy I won (1st place, Ford Mild)....first show trophy...other trophies are for bracket racing (one first and two seconds).



    Here are the people from SMS that showed at Spring Bash (I'm third from the right). We made a pretty good haul (1 best of show, 1 best vinyl graphics, 1 best audio video display, 7 firsts, 1 second, 1 third, and two firsts in the glow off competition).

    I weighed it a week or two ago. With 25lbs of junk, nitrous bottle (~20lbs with the nitrous I have in it), Schroth harnessbelts, RS wing, FS lip, Enkei Evo5 wheels, 80% full of gas, and full interior, it brought it to total of 2680lbs.

    :shock:

    I think with it stripped (and get my other junk installed), I can get it light enough to pull a 12.9xxx.

    I like it, nice and clean. Need to close the gap between the rails and the ground though.

      Yeah that particular pic makes it look like a 4x4, but it is decently lower than it was (SVT suspension swap). The front lip is actually level with the rest of the body, although it doesn't look it from here. I can't take it too low here though cause our roads are rubbish.

      When I dusted the old camaro off and got it back on the road (in prep for the 3.4/3400 hybrid engine build), I almost went crazy. It drives like a boat compared to the focus...suspension is next on my list after the engine...lol.

        I was looking at the focus as my next car before I got the maro. They're pretty nice cars with a lot of hidden potential. All the ones I kept finding were manual and I can't stand dealing with a stick.

                Yea thats a big time shame, :twak: to Ford... its not like that package wouldn't sell..

                  An AWD turbo focus would have been sex. Black on black with limo tint wow that would've been a force.
