i'm the guy with the jeep questions that hijacked one of your earlier threads.. lol..
Yes, I tried rotating tires too... didn't help. The issue started off as only a low speed vibration though. So I kind of ruled out tires. My thinking was that at speed, there is more momentum that would pronounce a tire issue, and at low speed (below 25 mph), there isnt enough mass moving fast enough to create the situation i have. In fact, once the problem starts up, its worst at about 5-10 mph.
The noise is linked to vehicle speed, not engine speed. It's also getting worse. Its starting to rear its head in the form of a full time light vibration. The low speed noise is more of a clunk. I've had it apart 3 times thinking its the wheel joints or i got a bad wheel bearing hub assembly. But everything is tight and moves as it seemingly should. I cant seem to find anything loose. Quite frustrating. I'm about at the point where I'm goign to drive it until something just breaks. At least I'll know what to fix if soemthing is spewing fluid or smoking.Phill

95 camaro... need money for turbo project...
94 S10 Blazer - winter beater - infinity system to be installed soon

\"The man who says it cant be done should not interrupt the man doing it...\"

Re: Jeep Stuff
Ahhh... have you checked to see if the bushings are dead? axle or body side for the control arms?FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com Administrator

Re: Jeep Stuff
well, i have not checked too much into the bushings.. checked the control arms for play or any apperent issues, but they all seemed ok. I do have a track bar that is starting to go out. I've been ruling out suspension issues due to the noises being speed sensitive, on all types of pavements, smooth, rough, and goign i na straight line or around corners.Phill

95 camaro... need money for turbo project...
94 S10 Blazer - winter beater - infinity system to be installed soon

\"The man who says it cant be done should not interrupt the man doing it...\"
