After driving my 02 bird last winter i decided to get something else cheap and utilitarian. Michigan winters are fun in a f-body, but i won't risk my baby's pretty pewter flanks this year.
I found a 1986 Toyota 4Runner with 267,xxx miles on the clock. I don't know if that is actual as the truck runs and drives really nicely, gets 22mpg hiway and doesn't leak a drop of anything. a little rusty, but the 4wd works great, no weird noises. The summer will be fun 'cause the top is removeable like a bronco or k5 blazer.
The thing goes like hell offroad thanks to the torque of the HUGE jap 2.4L 4cyl;)
hi miles sure, but a somewhat economical g ood running/driving 4x4 for 500 bucks is worth it to me.
