0-6psi < 48 hrs (pics/vids)

So Loner made the 3hr drive down here on Thursday to install his turbo, got here about noon and drove home this morning about the same time (Sat).

It was a long 2 days, we didn't go to sleep until 2am Fri, got up at 8 and went right back at it. Pulled an all-nighter and it was running shortly after dawn.

Here's the startup...



Here's the first and second test drive after we overcame a couple of snags (coupler never tightened, and a coupler blew off)...





We used the prototype v6 FWD turbo headers I build for him a couple of months ago and fabbed everything else while the car was here.

He didn't hesitate to make the 3hr drive home after and only had a few minor details to work out.

haha thats funny, looks like the newer grand am 3.4 engine isnt it? and that thing sounds like it runs terrible!

Why not. He's a member of the 60*V6 community that lives a couple hundred miles away.

Really?!?! That cammed 3400 with 3500 heads ran a mid-high 13 before the turbo was added.

why would anyone want a turbo corsica?

Again, why not?

Sleepers can be fun. Asking why someone would modify a Corssica is like asking why I see suprcharged Grand Marquis at the track.


Besides, what am I supposed to do when a car come into the shop..."No I can't turbo your car, you drive a (insert name here)"?
