and a vid a friend took next to me... I have seen alot of launces up close but this is the closet I have been, right on the edge of the security line. Sound was amazing, (huge delay like 1 min in around 1:40 was awesome)

that ***** has been offroading all over. LOL did an uphill climb for 5 miles on a gravel/dirt road in the mountains of north carolina in it!

I work at NASA in Houston, never seen a launch in person, but I did get to ride on the simulator once. That was cool.

Interesting. On that video, around 55 secs, it looks like it breaks the sound barrier.

There is a huge delay in the sound, I am willing to say a full second. It was close.


as for pictures... and trying to get my car in a pic...


I was busy you know watching a shuttle take off, not take insanely quality pics. I have to say though...

night launch is a million times better i will have to di around i have a cool vid I took of one. i think we have another launch coming up soon to do.

I've always wanted to go to a launch...I've gotta get down there before they stop launching them in 2010 or whenenver, but I'd want to be much closer. Are there better vantage points? Maybe some grand stand seating or something? If I'm gonna spend all the cash on a flight from Canada, hotel, etc I really want to have the best possible view.

Nice G6 by the way. I was recommending one to my sister...how's the reliability?
