I still check this site on occasion, but i spend 90% of my time over on v6f-body.com
main reason in leaving here was the lack of care and updating. I guess its just personal preference, but i really like the looks of v6fb.com. To each there own though. Its tough for a new site to get off the ground (were making head way though), however its harder trying to bring a dead one back to life.
thats the truth.
at least at v6fb.com the site owner is active on the board and constantly tweaking/upgrading things.

-just checked out the v6f-body.com site, looks pretty cool and if the owners are active and constantly upgrading things, thats even better. I love our forum, but for christ sakes, the owners should show a bit of interest in it.... seems also that there a lot of members from this forum on the new v6-fbody forum, maybe we should ALL just migrate over there, and take a bunch of the information/modification encyclopedia stuff/timeslips and whatever over to that site

now you've got the right idea.

Tk, im definently checking out and joining the new site for V6-fbodies tomorrow when i get done with classes, EVERYONE on this forum should join it and perhaps then....with the lack of active users and activity on this forum, the owners will either sell it or complain about it. Lets make the move to V6-Fbody.com!

Lol that is v6f-body.com. But yea it is a great site (i am currently a mod over there). There are active members always on (though we would always like more). We have someone in chat 90% of the time (as sad as that sounds lol), so whether you need some tech help or just wanna shoot the **** someone is usually around. As said before the site was actually formed because of the very things you guys are talking about (no owner participation, site dieing off).
So if you get the chance, join up and check the site out for yourself.
Its the exact same deal over there... it appears to be a mirror of this site, just with people thinking that their **** doesn't stink.
I do think its quite obnoxious to be on HERE talking about how bad this site is and how everyone should go over there. Make the move if you want to, but just stop ****ing talking about it.

Wow, dont know where you get that, but everyone is entitled to there own opinion. I can't think of one person over there that "thinks their **** dont stink", its a laid back bunch of people that are all about fbodies. As far as being a mirror of this site, it is not. People are involved over there and actually want to help the site and community grow.
And honestly your right, it is a little obnoxious to be talking about it here, however that only proves how little involvement is here. On any other forum this kind of stuff is not allowed and would be struck down by the site owner/operators.
i used to think it was a bad thing having people in the chat most of the time just kickin in, but plenty of times i've had a quick question about one thing or another and came in to chat to find freakv6 or the like there and always ready with a quick answer. We've got some good guys over there who just want to be active/help people out and thats what i like most about it. No it doesn't have the largest tech base around but that grows with time (obviously) and there are some of us working to get more info onto the stie.
ok as a forum owner, I can say that nothing annoys a forum admin more than seeing competitors forum name being advertised. We have a very strict rules (in the TOU) about other 370Z forums. We also have filters enabled for other competing forum. In this thread, we were discussing things that are related to CAMAROV6.com. Lets keep that on topic and stop the mentioning of other site. I know bone took over the other site. HE is a fantastic guy. But He should've def asked his fellow members to stop advertising their forum in ANOTHER camaro forum which is their direct competitor. This NOT the thread to discuss what's the BEST camaro forum BUT it's to help solve our on going problem here at camarov6.com.
Not directing this specifically at you, TKO, but in general...
Several are also members on the other V6 site, but that name's not being advertised in here. I'm a member of many of them and have different uses for each, as I'm sure others do too. This is a great site with a lot of good information, and while it may not be as updated or active as some of the others, there's no need to try and pull members' focus away from it. We're trying to improve what we have, not direct everyone away from it and let it rot.
I've also helped to start up a forum (local) that branched off of an older original one. It's tough starting out, but we've always been strict about keeping the two separate. It's better to keep space between and not step on toes, than to directly compete.
