How to select my own avatar image?

Ok, i've noticed that some members have created their own personal image on thier posts. I have a pic of my car i want to use but i cant figure out how to do this can anyone guide me on the steps to do this? I have a Mac. [img]graemlins/wavey.gif[/img]

I thought it was like 500 posts gets you the right to have a new aviator?

the list of avatars in your profile with the avatar we have ;) . i looked on the post list and people with below 500 dont have the avatars suplied and people right over 500 do.
