    http://www.firebirdv6.com/dnserror.html

We are aware that some FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com members have been having difficulty accessing the message board server due to an Internet DNS misconfiguration. This document explains how to use the Windows hosts file in order to teach your computer the correct Internet address of the message board servers. Following these instructions should allow you to access the message boards as you normally would under any circumstances. Linux instructions are also included, and may also work with similar UNIX variants.

    Windows 95 / 98 / Me

    1. Load the file C:\WINDOWS\hosts into a text editor (Notepad is suggested).

Note: If your Windows install directory is not C:\WINDOWS, use your install directory instead.

    2. Add the following text to the bottom of the file on a blank line (in Windows 95, 98, or Me this file may not exist or may be blank. In this case, simply add the line anywhere in the new file):

    64.246.34.35 www.camarov6.com

Note: It is recommended to seperate the IP address and domain name with a tab instead of a space.

    3. Save the file and reboot your computer.

    Windows NT / 2000 / XP

    1. Load the file C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts into a text editor (Notepad is suggested).

Note: If your Windows install directory is not C:\WINNT, use your install directory instead. Windows XP is often installed to C:\WINDOWS.

    2. Add the following text to the bottom of the file on a blank line:

    64.246.34.35 www.camarov6.com

Note: it is recommended to seperate the IP address and domain name with a tab instead of a space.

    3. Save the file and reboot your computer.

    Linux

    1. As root, edit the file /etc/hosts into a text editor.

    2. Add the following text to the bottom of the file on a blank line:

    64.246.34.35 www.camarov6.com
this might help, also available on the main fv6 site (if you cain get back on here to read this)

i have been having a lot of problems trying to get on any camarov6.com address also but firebirdv6.com works. kinda weird and kinda sucks cause the message board is on the camarov6.com address but its only at my school computer so i figured it was just the server.
