Ever think of deleting the posts of people who banter off topic rather then lock an entire thread because possibly two or three people got out of hand?

Understandable 95fbirdkid... You always seem to take a reasonable approach to these things...
Nobody can deny that it is a trend around here it seems to take the easy way out and just close or delete a thread on the brink of driving off topic. A simple, "Please, back on topic or thread will get locked." post, or deletion of the procrastinator's post I would think should suffice.
Entire discussions get flushed down the toilet because some mod dude here has no patience or two or three people run their mouths.
I don't know, I just take notice to these things because I have a bad track record. Pretty much 7 out of 10 threads I start get deleted or locked, lol.<a href=\"http://dpo.rpaisley.com/displayfile.do?file_id=11856&size=ORIGINAL\" target=\"_blank\">05 GTO</a><br /><a href=\"http://dpo.rpaisley.com/displayfile.do?file_id=2825&size=ORIGINAL\" target=\"_blank\">97 W68</a><br /><a href=\"http://dpo.rpai
