Ok if someone has done the heater hose mod on there fbody, can u please explain or give me a walkthrough of exactly what i have to do. So this can mabey even be a "How To".

I no it has something to do with getting heater hose and putting it at the top of the spring, but i need more info then that.

Do i take off the spring? Do i need to jack the car up?

Can anyone mabey take some pictures of there mod if they done it?

I just really want to lower the rear end alittle bit of my car.

    thanks

        Re: Heater hose mod help.

        Its pretty simple...

-Jack car up, put on stands
-jack rear up to compress suspension.
        -unhook the rear sway endlinks
        -unhook bottom shock mounts
        -lower rear on jack slowly
        -uncompresses spring
        -remove the bump stops
        -remove the springs
        -put grease in the hose
        -put hose on springs

        Put it all back together.

Ok, so i understand this, but i am confused on the rear end part and compressing. Do i put the jack under the differential once its on stands to compress the rear springs, so then when i disconnect them and slowly lower the rear end the springs will be able to be pulled out? I want to no exactly what to do before i jump on this mod.

from start to finish, the easiest way..
            1) Jack car up onto jack stands
            2) Put the jack under the pumpkin of the axle, and raise the axle up to about where it would be if the car was still on the ground.
            3) Undo bottom shock nuts, and move the bolts out of their hole
            4) lower axle
            5) Pull spring out
            6) take off top isolator
            7) wedge 6 inches of 5/8" heater hose on the end of the spring
            8) Put spring back
            9) lift axle to the level the end of the shock is
            10) put shock bolts back on
            11) lower car
