Finally got a fuel pressure regulator on the car. Still need to tweak it some, but so much better already. First pass was a 12.40@110! Back to where I was before this whole fuel issue. It was still pretty hot out last night, well above 80 degrees and humid, so that give me hope that there is still a little more on the table.
It was a street racing style event, and as such, I was ready to race anything.
1st Race Me vs. 06 Yamaha R6 - Got spotted out 10 cars, and lost by about an inch. It was really close, and I thought I had him til I saw the win light in the other lane. Really cool guy.
2nd Race Me vs. SRT-4 Neon - Yeah, I know, it's a neon. It was fully built, slicked up, gutted and moving out. He had raced the bike heads up and clipped him. So, we negotiated me getting 6 cars and the hit. Cracked the bottle open ;) and thought I would just have to spray 1st and 2nd gear and pretty much coast to the finish, I was wrong. I looked behind me in 2nd gear and this car was charging hard. Stayed in the spray all the way to the stripe and won by less than a car length. That guy was pissed!
3rd Race Me vs. 30th Anniversary Trans Am - I love those cars, the blue wheels give me wood. His car was heads/cam/bolt on's/built rear/all the good parts, but on an aggressive street tire. My car is on an ET Street Radial. Tree came down, and I put 6 cars on him out of the hole. Stayed that way the whole way down the track.
I'll get some vids up after I get them from my friend. I had a blast and was hotlapping the car like a mad man!
