Nice vids, but it looked to me only one tire was spinning in the burnout box. You were very quick off the line , nice job.

No problem Mike. I enjoyed filming it.
When I was shooting the video, I couldn't see in the view finder that you were spinning just one wheel. But your launches were excellent though.
Let me know if you need a hand with your motor or if you need parts from summit. I'll be going there again soon. Hopefully there's not much damage and you'll be out annoying the neighbors with your cut-out real soon :)
Com'on we are a family here, no worries, what's your time?
Alright, but keep in mind that it was my first run ever :D

I can confidently say that I can take a full second off that the next time around just by paying attention and shifting better. But next time I go it will be with a GT2 cam, P/P heads, headers and full exhaust. Me thinks possibly some nitrous as well.Bwahahahahahaha...
My brother has a Zex nitrous wet kit that he used on a civic( yes I'm ashamed of him), that's just collecting dust. I'll have to do some research to see how I can adapt it to run on the 3.8.

Shouldn't be to hard, although they wire in to your TPS instead of using a micro switch for throttle opening.

remember, you're reaction time has nothing to do with your run...you can sit there for 20 seconds and still run 15-16 seconds, or whatever it is you actually run...the clock doesnt actually start until you wheel breaks the beam light.
you can definetly pull 15's with some practice no question. Work on getting a slightly better launch and improving you 60', and you're times will really start to come down.
Everyone has to remember that there was a wind that day, and it was blowing against the cars running down the track...your Trap speed is low, my trap speed was low, and Tom's trap was low as well...we should all be up about 2-3 mph...so keep that in mind as well. It's too bad you raced a 10 second car on your first run Tony...
on a side note...the 3-4 races there one car went 13.2, the other went 12.4...I kept up/pulled on these cars through the 8th mile there pretty much, just to give you guys an idea of the engine potential and an idea of how the car looked towards my goal for this year. Motor had 164,xxx Miles on it to...so on the up side I'm kinda looking forward to putting in a very young engine, I'm hoping mine was a little worn out, and the new one will be nice and fresh and will pull stronger through the gears...

Yeah that was quite head wind, everything I wore smells like burn't rubber;)
I also let off part way through the traps on my best run.
Build her better and stronger Mike.
BTW did you put GM posi additive in your rear gear fluid when you changed to the Eaton?

At least you didnt run that WITH bolt ons, 4.10's and etc like I did... I need a tune but still, I'm stuck with 15.9+ times and I've got a rebuilt motor and trans, shiftkit and more. :(
I ran a 16.5 my 1st time down the track with just an axle back exhaust so you did alright if I do say so myself, lol.
I need a tune so bad.
