Warshrike, you know the guy on ftv6 who went 13.9 with bolts and weight reduction? I cant find his build, but that car was extremely fast for what was done, granted it was strictly a track car (street legal, but def would suck as a DD), but still.
Shawn (Floydsummerof68) went 13.5 cam only and 12.2 w/ a 100 shot. Sold that car.
Lee Norton went 12's essentially Cam only on a junkyard engine but he ran in stock eliminator class and had a crazy cam that was tough on springs and valves and not exactly a street friendly cam. It wasn't high lift, but the lobes were a crazy profile. Moving to V8's.
Matt (02pewtersix) went 13.6 with bolt ons, gears and weight reduction. Sold that car.
Craig (LittleG) went 13.5 with 4.10 gears and weight reduction only. No longer active, more than likely sold the car as one of his last posts was listing it for sale at $3000.
i know i emailed swan racing in the past to inquire about the gains on their kits and they said gains are between 50-65 hp. i think this would be realistic, however very pricey for what it is! I always wanted to do their top kit at a cost of something like 3k just because id never seen it, and would be decent gains while still being able to say all motor. with that being said someone who only cares about power could probably put together a decent turbo for ~3k and put out much more power than that.
Just don't look at peak gains. Think about all the added power under the curve. You'll have a lot more inital torque available and that will continue to carry on with a lot more power on up to peak.
Ported cylinder heads would be a must to make the best use of a stroker, not even considering all the machine work you'll need to do and a custom cam to work with the new geometry of the rotating assembly.
lol this guy tried too tell me that this site was a load off out dated **** and no one knew anything on here haha if that was the case my v6 camaro i sold wouldnt have went 12.8's on spray lol b/c off the research i got from this site and a few others
Well then if it's outdated maybe he should post up and let us see what he has.
Otherwise, he's trolling you. A 3.9 stroker wouldn't have been worth the money. And unless he has actual info on his "nothing is stock" motor with cam specs and info on his cylinder heads, he's acting like a douchebag ricer by trying to make stuff up or hide what he has. It doesn't impress people, it just makes them annoyed.
thats what im saying its all good im doing a heads and cam swap in the next month and uping too a 200 shot so my goals is 9.99's by the end off the race season ill drag him if he isnt done before i get mine done and i dont think he will ill post a video off my murdering him i might get the guy who has my old v6 too ride down and beat it b/c i think my old one would drag him personally
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
