Ah ok, just wondering how much you have played with the pressures. In my step sisters Lt1 we run 15 psi and it has been getting a 1.89 60' and my friend's saleen has been running 14psi and, before he blew his rear up, was getting 1.80 60' times. Both cars running Et streets.
Well Ive tried from 20psi down to about 13psi and I like the 16.5psi. Seems to hook well and ride nice at the top end of the track. My best 60ft is a 2.02 but at the moment Im tuning the AE table of the car as when I was going WOT the AFR was going sub 10.2:1 area(the wideband only reads to 10.2:1 afr, so probly more like 8:1 in real time just for a split second. So the car was bogging when I went WOT and the tuning wil probly help that time out I would guess by a good amount.
Much better then ever recorded before by far. So Im really hoping that this is the answer for the 13's this upcoming weekend. Also it was like 85 degrees out today so i would guess if it was at night being cooler and all, the dense air would make it a slight bit faster.
Heres the g-tech results, not bad for on the street on street tires. From what Ive always seen on my particular g-tech the 1/4 est is slower then the real track times, and the MPH is about spot on, but its not trap speed. Which at 105mph or so would net a 101-102 trap speed. But this is all guessing and inticipation of what she will do next weekend with the open exhasut and slicks to help that launch.
What... A 13.36@102Mph?? Yea all 13.50 and lower all weekend in 6 passes. Some emarassing RT's but it was time trials and truthfully I just wanted to see how fast I could get the ole car. Still 12psi of boost and not much tuning at all compared to last weekend. If anything my tune should have made it slower as I made the car richer on the high boost levels.
Bad light. best time
Better bulb, a little slower, it was warmer out on this pass
Just wanted to update this thread since I added alky injection. First Ive only re-tuned one chip since I added the alky. Its conservitive and I was aiming at 11.0-11.5 AFR's through out the pull when full boost is there. Im using some 49/50 mix stuff for now. And I will be making a pass(fingers crossed) tommorow after work.
What Id like to see is if my car is as fast with the 11psi I plan to run tommorow as the 12.5 I was running prior. I know that alky injec usually slows the car down a little when its added and not tuned much but honestly it "feels" like the car is just as fast as before with more boost, but I guess we will see tommorow. I just hope for any 13 in the 1/4 mile, thats impressive I would think with only 11psi of boost on my engine. I usually do the math on the dataloggs so that I can see what the times(may be in the 1/4 mile) But its hard when I do bad burn outs so your guess is as good as mine. I looked at the split time from 80Mph(1/8 mile) to roughly 102Mph and came up with a 5.31 seconds. Thats a shot in the dark estimate but its close to those 13 sec runs.
Yes Id like to push it tommorow, but in all honestly I dont have time to tune. So I burnt one chip made a log and attatched it in excel for anyone who wants to take a look. (edit will attach if someone wants to look at it)
In the log, I abvously did a burn out as always(hense the KR), till about 20mph.LOL. And it was HOT(85+) and HUMID out today. Stinking hot! Keeping the intake temps about 10 * at the most above the ambient is impressive. As I was pushing 150-160* before on a hot day like today. So Im seeing a solid 60* drop in temps and im not to sure my IAT sensor is reading the true coolest point.
I plan to run real alky in the next few weeks and wont make it to the track for 2 more so we will see what it can do with alky and some more timing/boost.
Tommorow is hopefully the day where I either post my new fastest time or even a sub 13 second pass. I will update as it happends, but I have a good feeling that no mater what, as long as notheing breaks, I will have a new fastest time.
