  • Back to the track.....

I went to island for their Black Friday event. Temps were in the mid 20's.

I got 11 passes - if I hot lapped the car I think I could have had 25+ passes.

Traction was pretty damn good for mid 20's

2013 dodge challenger srt8 auto with just a cold air kit.

I spun on every single run - sometimes just a little bit to all through first gear.

This car keeps on getting quicker and quicker!

It is sooooo begging for a tire!

All in all, a great night at island!

      Re: Back to the track.....

still not faster than the old Firebird ;)

I think if anything is begging for anything, it's for you to build another bird....

      1996 3800 Camaro - 13.43 @ 100.77 mph

        Re: Back to the track.....

I've gotten spoiled in my old age.

I often compare this car to the bird.

Bird had 1 seat, light weight carpet, no sound deadening, no air bags or bumper crash bars, no heat, no stereo, no power steering, no AC......the list goes on.

I'm old and with this crappy titanium spine, I need all the creature comforts.

I am def chasing my v6 times. I've got a set of 285 40 20's off my jeep srt8. It's a tight fit but I'm gonna try these next. Jeep now has 315 35 20's.

I'm going to avoid drag radials and slicks for this car for now. I wanna see how far I can get with a street tire.
