• What do you think I would run?

I have the mods listed below...never been to the track before. I want to get an idea of what I should expect when I go in the spring.

Any ideas? I think I might be able to get high 14's depending on the day...am I right?

      low 15's probably

high 14's if you are lucky

work on that launch, rev as high as you can w/ out spinning out

try to get there early so you can get plenty of runs in

two things will get you into high 14's easy. Jet chip & better tires

        Thanks!...

I'm was thinking about a jet chip stage 2, but I might wait and get HPP3 when it comes out.

Do you guys think that the HPP3 will give better results that the jet chip?

They are tow way different things, jet chip is a chip that plugs right in, and is left permanentley(sp) on, and by that i mean it has one setting. hpp is a programmer that let's you adjust shift points, top speed limiter etc. I'd wait for the hpp3 esp if you plan on running a power adder IMO.

          Peace will

quote:
if you lived in houston you would be in the 14s, but with those mods only i would expect 15.3-15.6 here in san antonio. i ran 15.4 with those mods when i ran. (i did not have a cat back then though) i now have a whole lot more.

what's the difference between houston and san antonio? is it temp? or different track conditions.?

Agreed.... the HPP3 will allow you to change your fan turn on/off temps so you won't have to do the manual fan switch mod. Your car will be running at optimal temperature in the staging lanes with the engine running! :D

And if/when you get a power adder, you can simply remove the power tuning option and leave the rest of the options programmed (speed limiter, fan temps, gear/tire calibration,etc...)! ;)

I had borla adjustable exhaust, slp intake, a b&m shifter, and plugs and wires and I ran a 14.94 in the summer in florida, but I have a 2000 firebird m5

which plate did you run with? Have you tried different plates with different results?

Could be wrong, but here in Lubbock, our altitude kills our times. We all pack up and go to either Houston or San Antonio to get our good time slips. Altitude is a huge factor.
