  • Gearing and ET's???

i was wondering if anyone had donew gears on a most ly 3.4 and what difference it made at the track? the car in question is prolly gonna end up with a set of 3.73's in it and i wondered if anyone knew how much of an improvement coudl be expected over the stock 3.23's.

    thanks
    tim

Well I know mines a 3.8 so this might be usueless info for you.
I saw no reduction in et when I went from 342's to 410's
Same et and slightly less mph.
60 ft's were drastically different of course.
    1/8 miles were different too.
    mph dropped slightly with 410's
Now 342's to 323's, et actually hurt slightly .1+ loss
mph still ranges around the same area.
I'm answering this cause you know the car and have seen it run before
    Hope this helps

Maybe James u saw no difference in ET was because you still had stock 3:08 shift points and using 4:10s?
