Hi I have a 2000 manual firebird with a few mods. I run a 14.94 at 93.3 mph with a 2.34 60' time. Tell me what I am doing wrong. I have stock gears(3.23). I have control arms and a panhard rod. I also have 255 50 16 dunlop sport5000 tires. What can I do to help this without buying anything. I will probably buy gears in the future, but I would like to know what I should do right now. Thanks for the advice.

If youre not running 3.42s, much less posi, you'll never see below 2.2 on the best of days.
You really need the gearing for that low speed takeoff.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

I ran a 2.06 60ft on street tires in my nearly-stock '94 3.4L Camaro w/A4 trans & 3.23 gears....so it can be done. I was also launching at 1600rpm or so. I know how it goes when launching a manual, though, it's an entirely new experience, but you'll get the hang of it. I pulled a 2.259 today with 3.23's and LSD on street tires (235/55/16), but HAD to launch at 1500 or so.
