I ice my intake on hot days(80 degrees and up). My intake usually cools off while i am in line to race, because the line is at least an hour long every time I go. Last year the line was only 5 minutes

Just pick up some liquid nitrogen and douse the intake in it a few times before you line up. That should do the trick

If there was any metal to wrap some copper tubing around you could dump, for instance, liquid Nitrogen in your windshield washer fluid box, hook up copper tubing to the motor pump, wrap tubing around metal intake, hit the "mist" button and sit as the cold liquid ciruclates around the intake and cools it *could wire it to run on a loop w/o the button which may work even better*. *shrug*

hehe ever heard of Gum remover? I took a case form my work its this stuff htt is used to freeze ice, I used it on my PVC piping CAI, and I ice my intake and throttle body. When its hot. Days I bring it I will wait 1.5 hours in staging lanes because of long lines or blown up car. And days I don't bring it I need it.

I did a couple times at the track.

It wasn't worth anything.. just hassle.. water dripping over the engine and all.

It doesn't seem to make much of a difference in ET's.

The big thing I noticed is coolant temp. Keep the coolant temp down and I bet you run better #'s.

I noticed a difference, key thing is push the car through the staging lanes till the last possible second, I take ice off when the car in front of me is getting ready to go by the burnout pits.

Could affect me more, becuase most nights I go to the track its 85ish degrees and kinda of humid.

sometimes at e-town there are people aroudn with these things called pro-coolers. it is liek one of those gel ice pack things but it stays cold for a really long time. the nice thin g is that you don't haft drag around ice or a cooler or drip water all over the place.
there was one guy i saw who had 3 of them zip tied to his CAI. if i coulda stopped laughing i would have asked if it helped at all. :D
not sure how much they cost, i was thinking about picking one up this season.
