• New NA Best: 14.289@92.43 1.826 60'

60' : 1.826
330': 5.690
1/8 : 8.973@74.27
1/4 : 14.289@92.43

Temperature was mid 50's. There was a 10-15mph head wind. Baramoter was low and humidity was high. Most people were down a couple MPH. So I'm happy with what I did today.

Since last time, I've gone from a 3.42 gear to a 3.73 gear. The car realy gets out of the hole quick. I cut several 1.82 60's.. all motor

With better weather I think I can hit 14.1's but I doubt I'll ever get 13's NA with stock heads/cam.

It was a beautiful day at the track, windows down.. no jacket needed.. very nice.

Oh yea, I also ran open y-pipe. Man, the trip down and back sucked.. 3000 RPM's at LEAST cruising with the 3.73's.. and the loud exhaust. It's soo anoying. :(

Anyway, I'm satisfied.. time to update the sig.

Congrats, that is a kickin time NA. I wish I could get that kind of start off the line. I got drag radials on the way, so hopefully, I can fire off a sub 2.0 60fter.

congradulations keith, i told you those 3.73 were awesome for drag racing :D i cant wait until the shootout i have a funny feeling some of us are gonna be setting some records ;) did you use the maft+ to tune? if so what settings did you do? this may be a dumb question but if you have an open y pipe that means your muffler and i pipe and over the axle pipe dont have exhaust flow running through them, how would the muffler make any noise being disconnected?

Thanks guys.

The muffler doesn't make noise.. the noise comes from open y-pipe.

I had -4% WOT A/F and +2 TA.

Those are settings for my particular car though. I tried increasing the TA to +4 but it was too much and I got KR and lost a mph.

I also tried -6% WOT A/F and picked up maybe 1/3 MPH but it wasn't worth it running that lean so I put it back to -4%. After I was done racing, I put the WOT AF back to -2%. Rather run rich than lean.

I cruised to work today with open y-pipe... Its just way too loud. :(

I won't be going back to the track before heads/cam unless the weather is nicer.

Wowzers, congrats on those times. That's awesome! It's always nice to be able to put the power to the ground like that. Guess I'll just stick to good dyno numbers and bad traction at the track. LOL Open headers are nasty loud, everyone left the building when I dynoed open headers. Are you teeth still chattering? haha

Congrats Mag,
you're getting some serious traction out of the hole. That's great! With a properly tuned heads and cam package, you've easily got 13's in the bag. When do you plan on getting the heads and cam?
Good luck,

Thanks guys.

Bill, I'll save the 13's for heads/cam. As for 1.7 60' NA.. I dunno.. we'll see how the car launches after H/C.. It would be really nice though.

Andy, I was hoping to break your record. I came home and checked your timeslips page... *sigh*.. Maybe next time. ;)

Fin, she will definately go faster.

nino, thats awesome. lol

Royce, Heads were ordered a few weeks ago and I ordered my cam last week. The cores should arrive at Comp in 3 weeks or so so I'll probably have it here in 4-5 weeks.

I ordered 212/212 .520/.520 112LS 108IC.. I had 4 degrees advance ground in (hence the 108IC) to bring the power band down. After looking at Mike's NA dyno, I think its a good idea. It looks like Mike peaked around 5200-5400 or so. I want usable power too... so I hope this cam's a winner.

I was thinkign though, maybe go with a 110IC because of the lower duration.. but its a gamble no matter what I do.. could always save the 112LS 108IC for the 218/218 cam I might do in the future.

I got a few weeks to decide.... lol
