  • Finally getting the hang of the drag radials...

Well, I think I'm starting to get the hang of running on drag radials. Went to the local 1/8 track last Thursday nite and ran consistently in the 9.6-9.8 range with 60' times in the 2.1 -2.2 range. Still having trouble heating the tires up sufficiently, but I have now installed line locks and should be able to overcome this issue. Hoping the next time I run to hit low 9's. My best 1/8 run was a 9.494 with a 60' 0f 2.156, still with some wheel spin.

Hopefully be able to hit mid 14's next time at the 1/4 track ! :D

how much were your drag radials?

I was wondering if it might even possible to get under a 2.00 60'.

I bought a used pair with lots of "meat" still left on 'em for $70 the pair.

I'm hoping to break the 2.0 barrier soon.

Yes .... Bene we've gotta run each other before you go !! :D

$70 what a deal! i just got mine from tbyrne for $300 a pair including shipping.

how long where your burnouts where you still got wheel spin?

how much was installation for your line lock? where did you get yours from? i am seriously thinking about getting one from SLP.

                Very short burnouts ...

Got my line lock from Summit .... got the Hurst Roll Control with the GM adapter kit.

Tip of the Day: If you get this stuff absolutely BUY the install kit !!! I must've thought that all the fittings were included for the lock selenoid and didn't buy the kit. Got my 3/16 lines from the local auto parts store, but finding the correct adapters for the lock selenoid required 3 hours of hunting from store to store. Buy the install kit !!
