• 1/8 Time Change

I'm doing a big conversion pretty soon, here's what I have now and then what's going in:

Now: Stock 3.08 Gears with no limited slip

Soon: New 3.42 Gears and Zexel-Torsen LSD

My best 1/8 mile time so far is (unfortunately the only tracks nearby are 1/8 mile for insurance reasons): 10.25

How much of a difference should the 3.42 gears and LSD make?? (I don't burn out bad at all now, and the LSD hopefully will prevent that after the change)

Thats sorta hard to translate though, i have 3.08/open diffy and i run 9.8.....in fact my car is in the shop right now getting the LSD and 3.42s put in. If they have it all ready to go tomorrow morning I might hit the track tomorrow night and have some before/after numbers. Generally you should see .5 in the 1/4, so maybe .4 in the 1/8.

          I ran 8.9 in the 1/8th NA with 3.42's. ;)

I believe the 3.08->3.42 to be worth .4/.5 in the 1/4.... I'd still say you'll pick up .4 in the 1/8th.
