Ok for those of you that know i ran a 16.3 last time out.....

I got two runs in tonight @ Moroso.

R/T: 1.315
60': 2.442
330: 6.787
1/8: 10.342
MPH: 68.95
1/4: 15.966
MPH: 85.95

2nd Run (beat a 99' Jetta w/ a 70 shot)

R/T: 1.034
60': 2.488
330: 6.808
1/8: 10.354
MPH: 69.02
1/4: 15.975

Not great times BUT its an improvement to the 16.3 I ran last week. (I gotta work on my r/t's bad too). Time to update the sig.

Congrats.
My first run down the 1/4 was a 16.6
Were you spinning off the line or do you have 308's?
One suggestion: have you seen the home made ram air I made in the pics in my sig?
You might want to.
For some reason it looks like your car is kinda starving top end. This might help.
Congrats, it is always good to get a new best :D

Don't sweat it man. Your 60ft is hurting your overall e/t. I know how that goes...then again, I'm driving a 5spd. Not bad times though, just need to work on getting off the line ;)

any suggestions on bettering my 60' ???

since I have an A4, should I have it in overdrive or drive?

I have always had it in drive....I already took my system out, spare tire, jack, all dead weight ect.

well do you just floor it off the line or just rev it up a little. i have an a4 with a stock converter as well and i launch at around 2000-2200 rpms.

i put it in drive, hold the break down and rev it to around 2000rpms, launch...lil' bit of tire spin.

I need to change dem' gears and I KNOW I'll get better times. 3.08's suck! DAMN THEM 3.08's TO HELL!

Sweet improvement!

My first time at the track i ran a 22 at like 79mph or so, LoL :D

Do a little burnout if u can before hitting the line.

Rev to about 2K, wait for the light and just nail it! hold the pedel down like there was no tomorrow.

Also R/T means nothing if ur doing time onlys. It would make a world of wonders for the Bracket racers.

I know 3.08's suck but u can do better!

Also weight reduction, not sure if u did any, but try next time, spair/jack, passenger seat, back seats. Takes a lot of weight off.

Good luck next time!

Also put it in "3" rd gear.

Someone mentioned to me (who runs 11.88 in his TA lol) that it kidna helps out cause the car looses a bit shifting to over drive.

Put it in 3rd and this way u'll reach the higher rpms a bit more.

just a suggestion, thats what i did, not sure if it works or not!

I have a 96 firebird A4 w/ those god for sacken 3:08's i ran a 15.5@90.xx last night all i have is exhaust and an intake. You cant be afraid to do a burn out gotta heat those tires up. I usually brake tourque till about 1800, dont wait for the light to turn green wait for the 3rd yellow light then floor it. I usally start off in first right after you get off the line shift into 2nd then when you get down the track and your tach gets into the hash marks right befor the redline shift into 3rd this will alow the rpms to go a litle higher than just leaving it in D. Hope that works for you works for me !!
AIS 2 OHH the memories... Great times and putting names with faces.
From \"interesting\" hooters waitress(Did you guys FLY ? ) to pissing BMW owners off on the ride home. To ending up in Philidelphia and USING (hahaha) an ice machine. I had a BLAST.
Thanxs to all that showed up!!
