  • What should I do next?

    Hi, I"m new here and live in South Florida

    I just recently ran my car and pulled a best of 15.2@88 and a 60' of 2.139

    rest of night was a 15.5 and a 15.7 (messed up launch)

    Is this about right with the minimal work I have done on my car (see sig below). Also what would you guys recommend I do next? I don't want to do anything major (headers, cam, basically actual engine work). Any ideas?

    you can get a high flow cat which will help your top end, also slp sells a ram air kit, you can see one like it at http://www.rksport.com/
    Basically, what you can do is look at f-body websites that sell v6 performance parts.

      i would say either get a high flow, or better yet get a shift kit w/ the v8 servo. i think the shift kits is one of the best mods you can do to an automatic car

        I'm thinking of getting a shift kit down the road, but what is this LSD thing with it?

          like riley said...get a better cat. Get basic things..like a 180* stat and a fan switch for complete engine cooling control while your waiting at the staging lines. Get a shift kit and a torque converter. If all you have is a K&N sitting in your stock air box, get a SLP cold air induction or something like that. Happy modding! [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

            LSD ... limited slip differential. But since you're Y87, you already have the LSD from the factory.

            Definitely modify intake and exhaust as mentioned ... letting your engine breath better is one of the best things you can do (relatively inexpensively as well :D )

                      Well I'm in Boynton Bch and Coral Springs. Right now I'm at University of Miami. I ran at Moroso last friday 3/1 and pulled 15.5, 15.2, and 15.7. I did see a RS V6 there that ran 15.3. Maybe it was one of you. You guys should check out the club I belong to http://www.sffba.net/forum or click on the link in my sig.                         hey threepointfour do I know you? and with you saying I only beat will by a car are you talking about will with the 3.4 w/flows and who used to have nitrous? If so, I ran him when I first installed the mods and the PCM couldn't figure out how to run properly with the extra air flow so it was a little sluggish. On a 45-90 roll I was late launching and he had 3/4-1 car head start and I pulled a 3/4 car lead by 90. And from a stand still at a light I destroyed him so I stopped at 50.

                          he wasn't spraying when you raced him though...also have you asked anyone about your a4 hitting the rev limiter?

                            so big deal he wasn't spraying...neither was I, I don't have NAWWWSSZZZ :D

                            Anyways yea it's under general tech, but no one responded to it because it seems nobody knows about it! :(

                              get 3" piping from cat back maybe a high flow cat thermo and fan switch y87s should see 14s very easy
