Well as most of you know, i got new rims/tires. Off the line at WOT, i spin horribly. My old crap rims/tires were AWESOME at launching.. Is it because im using a shorter tire(45) as opposed to a 55? This is where i win all my races ... Now it spins all the way through first gear, and never did before on a DRY surface. Besides LSD, is there anything i can do to improve off the line traction? Keep in mind im really really poor..thanks

Well, you REALLY need LSD, especially with those 3.42 gears. Other than that, you can pick up some BMR LCA's to help off the line traction. Those will run you about $100 bucks. If you are still having trouble, pick up a BMR panhard rod (another 100 bucks). You should have no trouble hooking with those.
Ah, I noticed you have your car lowered...you might want to get a set of lower control arm relocation brackets. Those will lower the LCAs by about 3" to make up for the lower center of gravity.

maybe your car is rebelling cuz they are ford rims! ;)
Did you get the rims then lower your car or did you always have it lowered? That can make you lose traction. Get LSD!! I dont think you should invest in nothing else until you do. Its a very important factor in transferring power to the ground. too funny! anyways, my car was lowered before i got the rims..and at sea level, 15.3 is all i could muster up with 2.2, 2.3 60' times. So next on my mod list is LSD..than maybe the relocation brackets.. i just got a job, so come my first paycheck..LSd here i come..2003 Fire Red Dakota R/T 5.9
V-Force Exhaust
Custom Cold Air Intake

Sup Arnaldo, are you spinning at LACR? The track is a lot stickier than the street. I have the 17x9.5's too with 275 45's. On the street they will spin through 4th gear and my times suck *** when I don't spin much ;) . Is it while you are brake torquing it or is that just going to full WOT. I'm gonna throw on some ET streets on my stock rims for the track, because even with LSD and LCA's and Torque Arm I still spin until i let off the gas. Better tires would help a little. But don't expect ANYTHING you do to keep you from spinning on those rims. What rims do you have, I went with the flights ;)That\'s not a tool that\'s a damn brick!

Welcome to the all show no go club . I got my torque converter today and the zexel is on the way with the new gears. Tranny fixed soon too, so hopefully my times improve. Some more tuning and maybe I can join the 14's club too. Still trying to get ahold of the maft+ and autotap. Hey did you get ahold of that guy looking for a stock V6 to test out a magnaflow system? I contacted him even though nothing on mine is stock to see if he wanted something else to compare to. I don't really think they are gonna want to use my car though. Keep me posted on how you are doing with your car and let me know if you figure out any traction ideas, hopefully the zexel and 3.42's work better than the auburn. I doubt your car will be running as bad as 16.4. Gonna have to go to LACR soon. :D ;)That\'s not a tool that\'s a damn brick!

It's the lower profile tires.
Taller tires have more sidewall to flex and grab. No sidewall (or much smaller) and it just spins.
I don't grab for sh*t with my 275 40 17's on.
I hook in overdrive with the above tires.
And you have it lowered?
Well normally trailing arms and pan hard rod usually help but since it is lowered you really should get the adjustable versions to correct the angle of the rear.
