Anyone that had wheel hop problems and got rid of them with control arms? I have major wheel hop problems with just my 3.08s. I even have wheel hop downshifting from 2nd to 1st at 25mph. I hear a series of chirps. I was thinking of 1LE LCAs. I really don't like poly in there. I'll get rod ends if I have to. Did any of you get 1LE LCA and did it cure your wheel hop? Post your suspension mods, gears, and 60s if possible. Thanks.

I had a stock rubber rear suspension.
I went from 308's and an open rear to 4 10's and lsd.
I had wicked wheel hop. Scared the sh*t out of me the first time.
I bought the hotchkis trailing arms and pan hard rod w/ poly bits and installed them myself.
    Wheel hop was completely gone.
The car dead hooked after that.
I know you don't want poly bits but they ride completely fine.

I had serious wheel hop after I installed my LSD. I installed LCA's and Pan Hard rod with poly bushings and the problem went away. Yes, the poly bushing are annoying ... when warm they squeak like crazy, but it was worth it to get rid of the wheel hop. Still had traction problems with street tires tho' ....

Got a set of drag radials to play with and after learning how to heat them properly, have made 0.3 - 0.4 improvements in 60' times.

In my sig below, the "Best 60'" is with LCA's installed and drag radials heated properly, but with a slippery track. The 60' time listed in the "Best 1/4" was with LCA's installed and drag radials NOT heated properly. Prior to LCA install I NEVER broke 2.4's in my 60' times.

Funny thing I noticed. I took off the control arms and panhard rod, breaking all the bolts of course, and bushings looked like they never touched anything. I completely trust you guys that tubular poly arms took away the wheel hop. I would love to get them, but I drive fast on the highway most of the time and it would be very risky for me to use them. I'd like to have them just for the strip though.

I had the same problem with wheelhop. I replaced my LCAs with BMRs and brackets due to my car being lowered and now I have no more wheel hop at all.

How do LCA's adversly affect highway driving?

I'm still new to the whole "suspension upgrade" area- I've been trying to add horsepower for the past year, and havent even thought about suspension.

            thanks

Maybe that LCA info in my sig can help.

I read that, and I am still having a little bit of trouble understanding- so they basically really stiffen up the suspension? I still can't make the connection between LCA's and high driving speeds (I guess I'm not that smart). Sorry for taking up so much of your time, but I would love it if you could clear this up for me. Thanks alot.
