well I know what works well for V6 f-bodies, but I bet your torque curve is a little different.

You want your flash stall to be a little lower than your peak torque point. My stall is around 3300 or so but I might go with a 3800/4000 later this fall.

What works well on Automatic stangs? Thats where you'll really get most of your info from. I take it though that there aren't many automatic V6 stangs with aftermarket torque converters.

well, GT's go for the 2800 stall and 3.73 gears, in my research.

i used common knowledge to come up with 4.10s, traction lock, 2800 converter and a shift kit would probably be my best setup to help my engine get to those 13's N/A.

I think you'll need more stall than that to hit 13's NA.

We will find out after I install the 2800 stall. With a 4.10 ratio, I rev a lot faster and a lot higher. I think with the P/P job, cam, and other mods, I will reach my 13 second goal. These Mustangs can be rev happy. ;)

with 4.10's and all the boltons possible, my friend in his 99 mustang auto hit a 14.8.

a stall converter and some engine work, 13's easy.

according to those times...your top end is doing pretty good then. Because even on your so called "bad runs" you still managed 14's with bad launches.

on V6power.net, he is banned, and they do not believe his times are NA. *sigh*..

Andy has stripped his car completely, its very light. He also has a very agressive cam.. VERY agressive.

I wonder if its his daily driver?

good run. congrats on the 13's. how do you launch though? it would seem to me with the power you're making to run a 99mph trap you should be able to pull a better launch(60') and consequently a bit faster ET. i see a 13.7 or 8 in your future.

nevermind i went back and read and you do talk about your luanch. have you tried raising your rpm to 4-4.5K at launch?

Yes I have tried raising my launch to 3500k and 4000k dumps and my drag radials with my rear suspension setup just keeps them spinning till redline due to the fact that my torque curve is so flat. With a flat torque curve its hard to launch b/c as the tires spins the engine keeps climbing in the rpm due to higher hp outputs. To achieve 4k dumps i might need to switch to drag slick tires instead of drag radials.

I should be getting better 60ft times. But i hardly go to the track so with some pratice i'll hopefully get better times.

Hey Man... Congrats on bein' in the 13's... It's my personal dream to hit 12's someday... But I'd definately be happy with 13's as well...

Also.. I think it's a good thing that we get a few Mustang owners in here.. Helps us keep up on the competition ya know what I mean?

Again... Congrats, and it sucks how all those people over there are too jealous to let you have your few moments of fame.

Keep up the work on that stang.

With some drag slicks (not radials) you should be able to cut a 2.0 60' or better. Should be worth a 13.7 or 13.8...congrats on the times.
