Went down to the track tonight hoping for low 15s. This is the 1st time I was ever running. My first ran:

1/4: 16.329 @ 85.83
1/8: 10.637
60': 2.624
R/T: .683

I let my friend do the next 2 runs just to see what he could get out of it. He ran a couple GNs and his dad's Olds 442 so I figured i'd just see what it can do with a better driver.
This time we lowered the rear tire pressure 1lb lower. Took off the K&N from the ram air.
This time we ran

1/4: 15.975 @ 87.50
1/8: 10.372
60': 2.485
R/T: .596

Pretty much my only mods are ram air, dynomax muffler with 2.5" tails, and some custom programming I don't know what exactly is done.

How can I get up to low 15s, next time I go i'm going to get a man fan switch, do a TB bypass, 160 or 180 thermo. Highflow cat with cutout and 3" piping back to the muffler. and thats probably it. I could be pushed up into the low 15s right?
Please Help, I hate my times, lol.

Your 60's are the problem. You're making the same mistake I did my first time out. I brake torqued and spun every time. Make sure you don't spin. Do mods to help launching. It's critical. All season tires don't help that.

I forgot to add. You should be in 15.4 region with your mods. Muffler doesn't add much power(5hp) and ram air doesn't do much either. So stock is about 15.7. Fix your launch and you're at 15.4s. You don't say what gears you're running and what differential. If it's 3.08s then 15.4 would be great.

mid 15s is good for what you have. low 15s is going to require a little more mods.
6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

Yea definately work on those 60' launch. If it's an auto, launch the car at 1,700RPMs. BTW, my worse time was a 15.7. I'm remaining pretty consistent. ;)

Yea thanks guys, i'm gonna work on it in a few more weeks. I'm not going to the track for at least 3 weeks. The next morning after the track my altenator gave up. I guess I burned it out at the track. And my rotors were so bad my brakes are scraping against them. I guess that could be slowing me down a tad at the track. I'm going to do some free mods and get some **** done to my exhaust soon. So I should have new track times up. Thanks for the help guys.
