Ok, actually got em' finally. Only there's one problem: on one of them, the bead seam (on the tire) that lines up with the edge of the rim is off by about 1". Does this matter? (the tire place and I looked the tires over after they were mounted, and tire actually sits a little higher than the other also.) Any help on this, is appreciated.. thanks.

    Hmmmmm
So the tire is mounted to the rim but it is misaligned or off by one inch?
My skinnies are 15 x 3.5 inches, 3.5 inches wide, 1 inch is a lot
What kind of place installed/ mounted them.
From what I'm hearing from you I'm not happy about you driving the car w/ them on. We all like you in one piece :D
You might want to check around and find a reputable place to check them.
There is a place by me and I'm going to guess you are about 45 min from me (my dad lives in sparta)

OK, what kind did ya get?
    What size?
    Where
    How much
    What size/ brand etc tire?
I always have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many questions :D
Just so you know this mod is worth a guarenteed .1 in the 1/4 :D
    12.8 here you come

Thanks James.. after a bit of research and trying to decide what to do, I ended up going with Barry at QTP. (I told him that you referred me.) I was also looking into the XP's for our cars, but thought they were a little large. I ended up getting the draglites with M/T Sportsmans 26" tires. I called him tonight and told him about the tire(s) and he is going to check into it with his "warehouse" and get back to me. I guess both of these tires are going to be taken off the rims and sent back for a different set. I was hoping to try them this weekend.. but it looks like it isn't going to happen now :( I wish we lived closer to each other. I'd show you the tire.

        Wanna borrow mine again?
I just run a street tire 175 80 in the front
The xp's are for the rear I think, 16 x 8's and they are like $204 each I think :(
I brought the rims home. I should have the spacers laying around and also the lug nuts, I just gotta check up on that.

I have seen tires like that before. Make sure the tire air pressure is up enough. If the pressure is real low try filling it all the way up. Sometimes they will pop back over the correct way when you do this.

Thanks James, I appreciate it.. I think I'm going to get the wheels taken off the rims on Sat. instead and maybe head up to the dealership to put the techII tool on the car to see what that "clicking" sound is in the dash. I guess I'll have to wait for the next event instead, which will be GMHTP. Barry called me back today and he said we can send the tires back and they (whoever "they" are) will pay for the shipping, so that's cool..
