MPH???

In a quarter mile how do you get a higher mph related to the time. Its hard to explain. I want to run 120 mph quarter but not really look at time. Its a bet i have with some friends of mine that say 120 mph cant be done with our cars. [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img] I think it has mostly to do with the rear end right? Well all the help is needed. I would consider it next to impossible.
We don't make the hp to get us there.

I say its not impossible. Nobody is close to doing it yet, but I am willing to bet it will happen eventually. How can we do it? I have no freakin clue... probably a lot of boost, a lot of nitrous, and a helluva LOT of reinforcement :D

if you don't care about the motor. Maybe you can throw a 200 dry shot, plus a blower and a TT setup and pray it can run for about 10-12sec and yea...you won your bet and you lost your car! [img]smile.gif[/img]

I could be wrong but it seems that our cars have a 118mph speed limiter.....so first somebody would need to tell you how to get around that or you will be SOL no matter how much motor you through at it.
So somebody got a fix for the speed limiter?

Joe palermo ws hitting the speed limiter about 50-60 yards from the end of the 1/4. I think he had 3.73s, so maybe his speed limiter kicked in around 100? Thats maybe a 108 trap speed? Assuming he hit no limiter. All ball park guesses but a 75 wet shot might have gotten him up there.

different gears can help but I cant see how you could get a 120 MPH pass. You would need lots of power. And we have speed limiters at 118 MPH but that would be the least of your problems when trying to reach a 120 MPH pass. I say its impossible. I say impossible just because I havent seen anyone come close yet. Maybee im wrong and maybee it will happen but I just cant imagine.

Fix the speed limiter, good luck with that Bradley. And after you get that, get everything out of the rksport and jegs catalog that can be put under the hood of a 3.8 v6. Have it pro tuned, and have someone other than you make the run down the track. Im pretty sure you have to be good to drive a car with flywheeled A4 trans. :D Nah I THINK it could be done, it would be a heeluva risk and a lot of work but 12 second is hitting 107mph...

[img]graemlins/rofl.gif[/img] Can you say crank it up like they did in the early 1900's. Well anyways i saw a dude in some import magazine run a 10.1 at like 160 mph. So that should say something about the low 11 pass.
