bad times again......i dunno what the deal is with these crappy times. Im thinking i need new plugs & wires for sure.

    16.2
    16.3

no need to post the rest of the timeslips....times are too horrible to even waste the time of typing it all up.

Well 308's really do suck, I know cause I had them.
Please don't put the nitrous on until you check your plugs.
If ya don't mind, do you want to post the whole time slip?
Sometimes we can tell by 60 ft, mph at 1/8 and 1/4 where your car may be lacking.

Run #2 - Tried something new...I braked torqued it to about 200rpms in 2nd, shifted into drive.

          I leave it in overdrive.
          I do not manually shift.
I stall it up to about 1700-1800 rpm's and let it rip :D
Once you have those 342's you will be in the 15's
Your mph seems a bit low. What mods do you have?
OK just looked in your sig.
You don't have many mods so the mph is understandable.
The gears and lsd will really help

are you spinning at all on your launches? if so ease on to the gas instead of slamming it down, dropping the rear tire psi? you should be able to do better than 2.4X even with the 3.08s, my best with the 3.08/open was 2.27, just keep trying different launch methods

I have already broken into the 15's....my best time in this car was a 15.9 w/ the same mods.

No i dont get ANY tire spin. for some reason my R/T's arent as good as they used to be either.

Its kinda hard to try new methods when you go to the track, get only 2 runs in b/c the Pro Street retards keep wrecking their cars...clean up crew is out there for an hour....

I feel your pain....I was at the track for 6 hours and got 6 runs in. The first 4 runs were all within about 2 hours also. Some old corvette broke somethin within the 60' mark and sprayed oil all the way down the track.

OUCH, sounds horrible. Honestly, I doubt I'll be going to the track again until I install the 3.42's and LSD. Until then my best is still a measily 15.9 =(

I would be happy with your times, you have at least a 15.6 if you would wake up and leave on a yellow. My best run yet is a 16.16 with a .534 R/T.

R/T doesn't affect ET, except during bracket racing of course ;)

slow and ugly reaction time has absolutely nothing to do with your 1/4 et at all. a bad r/t wont make your 1/4 any longer or shorter the closck doesnt start until you cross the sensor line i seen a 12 sec vette with a .502 light then he had a .97* light and still ran 12

I stand corrected, I never realized the 1/4 was independent of your total run. I have gotten the win light on many races because of R/t and ran up to 6/10th slower than the guy I just beat. It makes sence what you are saying though I guess I never thought about it. I do more friday night "test-n-tune", and have only been in 3 actual races'. That what I like about this place it is so educational. At any rate I think he should wake up and leave on a yellow it will make a dif, on any night.

hmmmmm, i have a feeling the reason im not getting better times is my plugs & wires.

i should stop being lazy and just change em'.

car has 56k miles on it now so i think a plug change is overdue.

99Camaro99: I MIGHT go to Outlaws, I see no real reason. I'll just get my *** handed to me by other V6'ers.
