• Why you should practice R/Ts...

this is a race against seanc97, his car is faster then mine, but he messed up a little bit on a run, and I ran my best run yet and bam! I pulled out the win and he had the better time, I got off to a good start but he was coming up on me towards the end and I was praying for the finish line to hurry up and come. I was in the right lane. he had the better time but if you look towards the bottom you can see I beat him to the line by about a 1/10th.

here is the timeslip

Look at his 60' there is the culprate right there. Check his 330' and 1/8 they are slower than yours, that small of a gap in R/T did not win you that race ;)

mustangeater: u should come down to Jupiter and run your car @ Moroso. In fact I think one of these weekends all of us South/Central Florida V6ers should meet up @ Moroso and have an unofficial v6 shootout!

amen to that brotha! :D

Yea I'll be breaking my 1/4mi time now since I'll have a few things up my sleeves!

Maybe we can all organize a certain time to go. May 31st maybe? That's a friday night.

Morroso! ack... when I was in ft. lauderdael i would drive 1.5 hours north to get ot it, now I have to drive like 2hours south. Maybe I'll do it, jsut for sh|ts and giggles. I can see if a different track will give me different times. hehe funny thing is to get to moroso I would have to drive by my local dragstrip to get to I-95 .

Even with his bad 60', he most likley spun he has an opne diferential and a 5-speed. There was no tracton that night like 500+ cars. his 1.4 mile time is till the faster, if we had had the same r/Ts he would have won the race.

I'll give you a testimonial for r/t's

Was at the track lined up w/ a Mustang GT.

Ready to get owned, the lights start up, as the third one goes I go for it. .52 reaction time, it rocked!

In the end, I ran what you see below, 15.095 at 90 mph, he ran a 14.7, but I won :D

He got a .9 something r/t.

It seriously rocked, about 2 feet after the finish he flew by me... But... I won :D

hey, you treed him, got the holeshot, and beat him!
nice job man.
he was reeling you in pretty good though.
but all that matters is who gets there first

Bro what speed are you driving? From Miami it takes me 1.5 hours. You it should take about an hour. How slow are you driving? I do a steady 85-90MPH on the highway.

not sure, this was a while back, maybe 98-99 when I did this. I remeber alwasy getting stuck at horrible consturction on some bridge, hell they are still doing construction in the same spot to this day. I live near 595, so southern ft. lauderdale. I cruised about 80-85ish.

yea that damn construction on the turnpike is still there. When I lived in NJ I thought they took forever with construction, but here...damn it's just as bad, if not, worse.
