if the track wants to you, you have to..it keeps things safe..

like if 12secondv6 juices it and the bird takes flight.. atleast his head will be ok.. (even if its not attached to his body)

well, i decided to e-mail 1 of the 3 NJ tracks (which is what i should have probably done in the first place). here's what they said:

State Law requires all drivers to wear a helmet. Helmet rentals are available for a nominal fee. Helmets must be minimum Snell 90.

this is, of course, for NJ folks. other state may have different laws.

i have 3 helmets also. they are old busted up motorcycle helmets and one army kevlar. i use the kevlar at the track now cause it is half shell and much more comfortable. you guys are actually scared of having to use the helmet? i never thought i would see the day i needed one, but i guess it could happen. tonight a 67 camaro hit the wall. pushed his front end at least a foot and a half. i dont know, but i believe the driver is ok cause the ambulance never left, but his car was truly messed up. it was a 9 sec camaro. hell ther were plenty of 9 and 10 sec cars out there tonight. i got beat by a 10 sec bug!
