ya my friend just got a 98 v6 camaro with 3.23 gears and it is a stick (bonestock). I dont like to race my fellow allies (camaros) but he talkin alot of smack about how he will detroy me in a race. I was telling him how close it will be but he insist on telling me how i will be left in the dust. I have a 97 camaro RS Y87, limited slip, 3.42 gears, flowmaster 3in, Kn filter. How close will this race be and wut advandtage does he have over me with being one year newer and a different model. THX

Race him as soon as you can! He probably isn't used to the 5-speed stick yet so he will have a ****ty launch!!! You'd probably beat him anyway with your mods but do it now for the braggin rights!

you'll beat him, you got the gears, you'll most likely slowly pull on him inch by inch... have fun

I think you will jump ahead at the beginning, and hold him off for a second, but I say about the middle of your second gear he will probably start inching up on you. But who knows you do have intake & Exhaust so that will definatly help. Race him and post up about it!! ;)

with your gears & modds I think you'll take him. Maybe do some weight reduction too just to be sure, & make sure your car is NOT running hot.

yeah, the weight reduction will help, i'd say you have a slight advantage but make sure you run on like a 1/4 tank of gas and practice your launch...
